Digby R. Kerr was named for his uncle, Digby Robert. After years in air freight for BOAC, his uncle built Digby Freight Services from the ground up, its orange and white trucks a familiar sight around Borehamwood.
To four-year-old Digby, the company meant something simpler: time with his uncle, rides on deliveries, and handing drivers their pay packets on Fridays. It was his first experience inside a transportation business, decades before he would build his own.
